With all the working from home many of us are doing these days, it’s nice to have a quiet place to work or meet up with others where dirty dishes and laundry aren’t staring at you.
Below are some good options to consider when looking for coworking or meeting spaces in the North Metro area.
York Street Depot – Thornton

The York Street Depot is located in the East Lake, Thornton area away from the hustle and bustle.
It’s a great neighborhood spot if you need a conference room or “hot seat” to work at on the fly. The conference room runs about $40 an hour and the hot seats are $40 a day or $175 per month. If you drop in for a day at $40 and decide to do a monthly rate, they will apply the $40 to the month (call to confirm details, rates and availability).
They also have dedicated desks with locking drawers and offices you can rent with full office amenities, but you may need to get on a waitlist. Be sure and call for availability.
This North Metro Woman has used the York Street Depot conference room and will be using the hot seat this week in fact! The atmosphere is nice and clean and the management is friendly.

College Hill Study Rooms
If you need to host a meeting then renting a room at College Hill might be the way to go. College Hill is located on the Front Range Community College campus in Westminster. Rates start at $20 per hour for a 12-15 person room and go up from there for larger groups.
They also have quiet study rooms which are free. Study room are available for up to six people. You must reserve a study room but can do so up to two weeks in advance. It includes a small table, glass whiteboard, Roku Smart TV and Blu-ray player.

Switchboard Networking Boutique
The Switchboard Networking Boutique is a unique space located near 120th & Pecos in Westminster. It’s a great spot if you want to host an event or workshop, but it also offers an “Executive Suite” which is a separate room with a table, 42″ Screen, printer, WIFI. It holds up to 6 people.
The Executive Suite starts at $20/hour. You can also buy a bundle of hours for even cheaper per hour options.

This North Metro Woman has been to several events at the Switchboard and loves the eclectic vibe. The main room has shelves where entrepreneurs (Business In A Box partners) can showcase their wares.

Barnes & Noble Cafe
Sometimes you have to get creative when figuring out where to work or meet a friend that doesn’t involve fees, loud restaurants or coffee shops. This place fits the bill.
If you’re looking for a quiet place where you can grab a cup o’ joe and sit quietly and work, meet a friend for some good conversation or play a card game with friends, the Barnes & Noble Cafe is a good option that doesn’t require a reservation. This North Metro Woman has seen groups of ladies playing Canasta at a B&N Cafe and they were having a fabulous time!
The B&N Cafe on 120th and Washington has several tables you can sit at and enjoy while you do your thing. Most locations have the same (you might call ahead if you’re not sure about a location you want to visit).
If you’re not familiar with the B&N Cafe, you can order most Starbucks drinks and food items, making it one glorious place to work or socialize!
Books, coffee, tables…yes please! Don’t forget to pick out a book or gift while you’re there!

Intelligent Office

Intelligent Office in Westminster rents office space and conference rooms by the hour making it an affordable coworking space on-demand if you just need a place to work for an hour or two here and there.

Erie Coworking
The Erie Coworking space is located in the heart of Erie and offers single day drop in options as well as monthly memberships for “Flex Desks” and dedicated desks.
Single day drop in is $20 for a flex desk (sit/stand desk) with access to all the amenities which include full kitchen with snacks/coffee, zoom/phone booth, high-speed internet and printer access.

Office Depot/Office Max has gotten into the coworking space game! They have a location near 92nd and Wadsworth that offers a drop in rate of $40/day. They also have membership options for a hot desk starting at $100/month, a dedicated desk for $250/month or a private office starting at $550/month.

Libraries
Libraries are a great place if you want to work alone in a quiet place. Most libraries in the area, including Anythink Libraries, have desk chairs, comfy chairs and private rooms that you can use to do some focused work. Bonus, libraries are free!
