As we approach Father’s Day, which is June 18th this year, it’s time to start thinking about what you’re doing for that special “dad” in your life.
We have no doubt, some of you meticulous planners have it all tightened up, but if you are more of a fly-by-the-seat of your pants kinda gal, here are some fun ideas to check out now!
Fishing at Barr Lake in Brighton
If your guy is into fishing, there are plenty of lakes and resources on where to find them near and dear to the North Metro area. You can also purchase all the fishing gear they might need at any of the JAX, REI’s and Cabelas in the North Metro area.
But here’s a little inside tip for the hunting or sporting enthusiast, Barr Lake in Brighton (off Interstate 76 and Highway 7) not only offers a fishing pier, boating and lake fishing, they also offer an archery range!
At Barr, they have 12 shooting lanes with heavy duty targets and a 3D target course. There are also 8.8 miles of multilevel biking trails, picnic and camping areas, a nature center, and incredible wildlife viewing. For you bird watchers, bald eagles are often seen nesting nearby. There’s really something for dad and everyone here. Check it out!
