And they don’t just save it for the best of weather. At G1 Climbing + Fitness you can get on multiple indoor types of terrain and overhangs anytime you want as high as 50 feet, if you’re up for it.
In fact, G1 claims to have the highest indoor climbing walls in all of Colorado! Here you can lead climb with a partner if you’ve taken climbing courses, go auto belay for those more independent spirits, or just grab a hold of the impressive bouldering walls .
There’s room for everyone within this 25000 feet of roped and bouldering facility, but especially for women.
G1 has a special climbing group called Send-it Sisters. It’s an all inclusive social club open to anyone identifying as femme. The only thing they require – a shared passion for climbing!
According to operations manager, Nicole Jolyn, “Our management staff is fifty percent women, and we care passionately about bringing equality to a male dominated industry.
We put a lot of energy into partnering with other local women’s groups to make this a safe and all inclusive space where women can come to get strong and have the opportunity to climb in a very safe and welcoming environment.”
Send-it Sisters meets up every Thursday from 6-8pm at G1 in Broomfield. They start off each session in an open get-to-know-one-another circle.
Here they share personal stories, climbing tips, and lots of laughter. But it gets even better,…after hours of great climbing, it’s tradition to also share a tasty beer or a bight next door at Four Noses Brewery,
The neighbors have had a mutually beneficial partnership for many years and is considered one of the perks and tasty rewards for a good day’s climb at G1.
