Grand Opening – The Healing Stone at The Orchard

by North Metro Woman

The Orchard has a new store! The Healing Stone is a lovely store filled with all kinds of beautiful stones, crystals, jewelry, gift items and loose leaf teas.

You may have heard of The Healing Stone as this is owner Miranda Meza’s second location. The original store, which opened in April 2022, is even bigger and is located in the Northfield shopping area.

We caught up with Miranda to find out a bit more about the inspiration behind The Healing Stone.

NMW: What inspired you to open The Healing Stone?

Miranda: The reason why I decided to start this business is because I realized we as a community needed a place for natural healing! Especially coming out of Covid. It is so incredibly important to remember to heal yourselves and I believe a lot of people were forgetting about that. Mental health is a very big part of that!

So I decided to create something that specializes in healing with meditation, essential oils, CBD, our crystals and their vibrations and of course the benefits from our loose leaf teas! And I wanted to do this at a rate that everybody could afford.

I went crystal shopping at a local shop and this beautiful piece of citrine was calling my name. I knew I must have it! It was $49 for this beauty. After doing a little research I realized I could sell that same exact style and weight of the crystal for $12 still make a profit! As an intuitive healer I decided I needed to focus on natural healing for our community!

NMW: Rumor has it this isn’t you and your husband, Brandon’s, first go as business owners. What else have you done?

Miranda: My husband, Brandon, actually owns an escape room! Pre-Covid, I owned a talent scouting agency where I worked with models and actors and traveled the world scouting for managers, producers, agents casting directors all over this beautiful country. But the world  came to a fast holt.

Unable to continue with that business and being stuck at home definitely started to reek havoc on my mental health. And again this is where the vision for the healing stone came into place. Brandon still owns Colorado escape it’s just at a different location. He had 4 locations in Colorado and has moved it all to one location now. My talent scouting agency is still there but on hold for now. So as of now The Healing Stone is my main focus.  Well, business wise. Our beautiful 3 year old is the main focus!

NMW: Who has been a source of inspiration for you?

Miranda: Brandon,  my husband, has been a very bright light in my vision! I explain my vision and he brings it to fruition! Every time! Being a natural designer he has designed both of my locations! He has been so inspired by the powerful healing elements of the crystals he’s decided he can’t get enough! So he and I work between both locations.

Thank you Miranda for sharing a bit of your story with the NMW Community!
