A New Take on the Turkey Trot

The Pilgrimage Run in Erie on Thanksgiving.

by North Metro Woman

You may have trek’d  in a turkey trot before, but never like this one.  The Pilgrimage Run in Erie  is not just about burning calories – it’s a  fun North Metro event to help a family in need.    The Pilgrimage Run offers three events – a two mile run, a four mile loop and a kids run.  All of them can be run or walked  with leashed dogs and strollers.  AND every participate gets a nice “high-end” cozy t-shirt to wear all year long.

The rules are simple.  Visit the website to register for the event and,  most importantly,  nominate a family in need to receive the proceeds of Thursday’s run.    That’s it!   It has never been easier to help a family going through a hardship.  The event will start and finish (rain or shine)  by Erie Community Park at the Erie Recreation Center.

Enjoy the run and Happy Thanksgiving!
