We are all creatures of habit but if you have been doing the same ‘ol joe for who knows how long,… it is time to wake up your taste buds. There’s a new coffee shop in town with down home Texas roots that you have got to try. It’s called Summer Moon Coffee and you can find them in Thornton.
Summer Moon credits its delicious coffee to the unique roasting process. Here they roast their beans in brick ovens over seasoned Texas oak, a process which infuses more depth and reduces acidity in the beans. They also offer hot or cold “moon milk” with many of their lattes, a house made sweet cream.
Their signature drink is the Blue Moon Latte which has a quarter of moon milk and 1-2 pumps of lavender syrup. According to the barista, it’s their “most popular” latte. You can also get a “half moon” or a “whisper moon” if you like a little more or a lot less dairy with your drink. (They also make dairy free moon milk.)
But if you’re not a fan of herbal flavors, this season they’re offering a toasted s’mores latte with marshmallow and chocolate and a fruity and sweet strawberry mocha. North Metro Woman had their signature Blue Moon and we have to say that we will definitely be back.
