Weekend Happenings

Reading, Dancing, Movies and more -January 19th-21st

by North Metro Woman

Shake off that layer of frost, North Metro woman.  We have made it through the dramatically entitled “polar bomb cyclone”,   AKA  another week of winter in Colorado.  And now, we are looking forward to a high of 53 degrees this Sunday with some fun plans ahead!

Here is the lowdown on some happenings this weekend in the North Metro:

Bradburn Village is hosting its  first Valentine’s Pop-Up with food trucks, live music, specialty vendors, a love note station and even a romantic and cozy “love lounge”  with plush seating and mood lighting.

If you’re single, perhaps you can cuddle up with a… goat, and catch a movie at Goatflix at The Orchard Town Center.   This event is hosted by Rocky Mountain Goat Yoga  this Saturday from 7pm-9pm.  So if you are ready to go  “Baaack to the Future”  (forgive me-it was just too tempting)  with an adorable little friend,  put your hair up (literally) – the goats will eat more than popcorn – and have some fun!

For you gothic readers, One Book Westminster is celebrating the ghostly novel “White Horse” by Erika T. Wurth about a woman who must face her past when she discovers she is being haunted by her mother’s spirit.   Click on the above website to see locations and times of  local libraries that are hosting  book discussions starting this weekend through February.  You can also visit College Hill Library  this Saturday from 1-4pm to celebrate indigenous culture with native storytellers and dancers.  It’s all ages and will get you excited for a visit in March with the book’s author, Erika T. Wurth.  So get reading people, you just may want to get that book signed!

Last, but not least, enjoy live country music and dancing at The Stillery in Westminster.  This hot new country bar (near the Westminster AMC)  features two live acts each weekend with dancing and signature cocktails served in a mason jar.

If you know of other fun happenings, please write to us at: editor@northmetrowoman.com.

We would love to share!
