Creator of the 100 Days of Ukulele Project, Cynthia Lin is a singer-songwriter and creative community leader based in Honolulu, Hawai’i.  Through her popular YouTube channel (65+ million views) and approachable teaching style, Cynthia has introduced the joy of ukulele to a new generation of fans. With the motto “Practice your ukulele 5 minutes a day: it’s good for your brain, and good for your soul,” Cynthia has encouraged thousands of budding artists to embrace and share their own creative journeys.

Cynthia’s captivating vocals and story-telling delivery flow effortlessly with her smooth fingerpicking style, and her original songs reveal a thoughtful, quirky poet.  As an independent artist, Cynthia has toured the globe and released 9 album recordings, including Ukulele Days, which hit the Billboard jazz and world charts. Also an actress, vocal coach, and dancer, Cynthia embodies the mantra that she lives by: Follow Your Passion.

Paula Armijo, production manager of Tricky Chord Productions, tells us,  “If you have ever wanted to learn ukulele, please check her out.  I have learned so much from this lady.  I’m one of her patrons on youtube and I can tell you she is very generous with what she shares.  There are free songs on there, as well.  People have been seeking her out when they want to learn and she is very community centered.  That’s what will be so fun about this event.  Ukulele is an instrument that is almost always played in a group setting. ”

So bring your ukulele, North Metro!  For Saturdays event, the concert will be followed by a group jam session where everyone is invited to learn and play Van Morrison’s  “Brown Eyed Girl”.

If you want to continue the ukukele fun after this weekend, High Plains Ukes Squad is forming  for those that are”Uke Curious”.  They hope to meet at Anythink Library in Brighton in the near future.
