If you’ve started your Christmas shopping, you may have noticed there’s a new coffee shop in The Orchards shopping center and it has the most perfect vibe for sitting down with friends. It’s called Cozy Coffee Co and it’s not only family-owned but women-owned by Tammy Mendez, a retired First Responder Operations Director, and her daughter, Savannah. Savannah is also the Executive Chef, but all three of Tammy’s daughter’s, including her aspiring veterinarian, Isabella, are involved in the business.
According to Tammy it’s a dream come true, “During concept, we wanted a space that was unique, beautiful, and community-oriented. The concept of Cozy Coffee Co is just that! We have developed a beautiful cafe allowing friends and family to meet and enjoy delicious food and craft coffee sourced from local vendors with high-quality and gourmet ingredients.” According to their website, by collaborating with roasters from our community, they ensure that every cup served to customers reflects the rich and diverse flavors of our region.
Cozy Coffee Co also makes many of their treats in house and brings in others from local bakeries and restaurants. And if you need a cozy place to meet they also offer the space after normal business hours to groups, non-profits, and anyone needing a cozy environment for smaller gatherings.
