We’ve got Olympic fever!! But for those of you who are not as obsessed, with Coloradans in the Olympics in particular, North Metro Woman has your back. Although, there are so many more representing our beautiful state, today we’re keeping an eye out for three athletes that represent the North Metro in climbing – they are Colin Duffy, Brooke Raboutou and Natalia Grossman. All three have been incredibly accomplished in bouldering and lead climbing on an international level for many years.
Duffy, the youngest of the three, is a former student of Stargate High school in Thornton and one of the youngest climbers, at age 20, to represent the US in climbing. The live feed of the events is happening while most of us are sleeping, but if you send it 24/7, you can join the other night owls at G1 Climbing and Fitness and see it LIVE at the gym with your other fellow climbers.
The Live Watch Party is on August 9th and 10th from 2am-6am. G1 wants you to bring your friends, climbing shoes and a blanket. It’s FREE to everyone and G1’s partner, Five Ten, will also be raffling off a NEW pair of climbing shoes each night.
Colorado has always been a climbers paradise and G1 is proud to be a part of the celebration as they know so many of these olympians started out in gyms just like theirs doing what they love most.
