Howdy North Metro, it’s the first week of January and you know what that means… The National Western Stockshow is in town. And with it are all the fantastic and surreal events from: mule and donkey shows, alpaca and llama runways, extreme cattle dogs to delightful dancing horses.
There is literally every type of stockyard event you can imagine going on, and for you handsome cowboy lovers, the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) is performing at 7pm on the 8th, 9th and 10th. And their new spokesman has lots of people taking notice. See the video here.
So, it’s time to get suited and booted and get your hat and your hair on! If you are looking for women’s western wear, you can find plenty of options in the North Metro area. JAX in Broomfield carries everything from Ariat brand to Outback Trading Co. Murdoch’s in Westminster carries western boots, jeans and… chicks – that’s right, they have actual “Chick Days” if you want to pick up a couple of chickens for your yard while you’re shopping for clothes! We truly could not even make this up if we tried. They are an ALL in one store. There’s also mega outdoor store, Cabelas in Thornton, and Boot Barn in Northglenn.
So once you’ve got the duds, you can can hit the suds at Becca Carrillo’s salon at Rinse and Repeat in Westminster. If you have ever met Becca, you know that she is just the sweetest and one of THE BEST at what she does! And she is giving our subscribers 15% off a hairstyle that will look just perfect with that new cowboy hat.
(If you’re visiting Becca this week, write to us at editor@northmetrowoman.com for your discount code. We will also email the codes at the end of the week in our newsletter. )
And please tell us what you love most about the Stockshow this year.
