Have you ever thought about learning aerial silks? Do you love watching those Cirque du Soleil artists swing gracefully from their silks and trapeze?
Thankfully you don’t have to run off and join Cirque to learn the beautiful art of aerial silks.
You can actually learn how to do aerial silks right here in the North Metro area thanks to Emmy and Travis Moon. The couple founded The Apollo Arts in 2011 and it has grown to be an all encompassing arts facility for children and adults.
Now’s your chance to learn! The Apollo Center for the Arts in Broomfield has registration open for the winter sessions.

The Apollo Center has classes for kids 5 to 11 and classes for teens and adults 12 and over. If you’re brand new to aerial acrobatics, you can sign up for the beginner level class and learn the basics of flying on equipment such as aerial silks, slings and trapeze. The beginner class for teens and adults (12 and up) is a 12 week session.
They also just announced Aerial Adventure Playtime for ages 1 – 5 years old! How fun for the little ones!

In addition to just being fun, aerial silks help students gain upper body strength, agility and flexibility.
If you want to try it out before committing to the the 12 week session, there is a Groupon option which is a mini, 4 week session.
