This week North Metro Woman is reposting our Farmer’s Market article and guide since it is prime produce shopping time, but as a bonus, we’re also letting you know where to find Palisade peaches just in case you’re on the prowl.
They may be a little late in the season this year, but if there’s one thing that speaks end of summer, it’s fresh peaches for snackin’, canning, and pies.
As you probably know, Palisade, Colorado boasts the perfect climate for growing with their nutrient rich farming soil and long sunny days. And being just 3.5 hours away to the western slope, we are lucky enough to get plenty of pallets full just as soon as they’re ripe.
Here are a few local locations, in addition to the local grocery stores, where we have spotted these juicy gems:
- Palisade Peach Pop-Up Stands: At Jax Outdoor Gear (on the East side of the parking lot) 5005 W 120th Ave, Broomfield
- At KMDA Dance Academy (in the parking lot 11-4pm) 1660 E 112th Ave, Northglenn
- Private Vendor: Roadside by Children’s Hospital North Campus Hwy. 7, Northglenn
- Palizzi Farms 6th and Bromley Lane (Open everyday 9-6), Brighton
- Lulu’s Farm 144th Ave. (Open 7days a week), Brighton
- Private Vendor: Located near the parking lot of Applejack Liquors in Thornton at 136th and Grant
