North Metro Woman would just like to start this post by saying, yes, we know you don’t need a holiday to indulge in sweet and creamy ice cream in the summertime. In fact, we think EVERYDAY, not just July 16th, should be National Ice Cream Day! But, isn’t it fun to have a genuine excuse to savor one of the nation’s, if not the world’s, best treats? Well, that’s our story and we’re literally sticking to it.
North Metro Woman decided to pop in at Sweet Cow in Louisville for a delicious bite of their small batch ice cream.
Today’s flavors on the big board range from classics like Dutch Chocolate, Butter Pecan and Mint Chocolate Chip to fun and downright silly flavors like Larry’s Chocolate Peanut Butter Madness or The Big Lebowski, a homage to “the dude” white Russian flavor with Kahlua and Vodka.
Sweet Cow also regularly offers non-dairy and vegan options like refreshing Gatorade Sorbet or Vegan Strawberry Banana Golden Oreo – a flavor so divine, you don’t have to have a single dietary restriction to request it.
Sweet Cow has been a local favorite of Louisville since 2010 when opened its barn door on Front Street in Old Town.
And the location could not be better. Not only is it right next to savory Lucky Pie Pizza & Tap House, but there is plenty of retro seating if you want to sit and relax near their front patio herb garden.
Your little ones can also play on the colorful mini blow-up cows that are always available for that inevitable sugar high you just paid good money for.
Along Front Street, if you want to take your cone on the go, there are also many other cute shops to browse within just a block of Sweet Cow.
Here you’ll find a variety of amazing shops like Old Friends gift shop, the classically sweet Assorted Goods and Candy, or the downright adorable Pitter Patter Children’s Boutique.
If you have a favorite ice cream shop you’ll be visiting on July 16th, or any other day of the week, we would love to know where you go. Write to us at: editor@northmetrowoman.com. Check out Sweet Cow at the following link:
