With the change in time and season, we are naturally spending more time indoors. For some of you, that means more time at the gym and at school watching your kids play sports. But if you have a kiddo that’s into volleyball, in particular, the school season is already wrapping up, and you may be looking for a new outlet. There are several volleyball clubs in the North Metro area and most of them have recreational CYL (Colorado Youth League), a more competitive Club Level League, AND even some adult volleyball if you want to join in the fun.
There’s the Rough Riders in Superior. This new club is based at the new Sport Stable off Hwy. 36. It boasts five gyms, sports training, live streaming, batting cages, hockey rinks, and a bar and restaurant on site.
Rebel Volleyball Alliance in Northglenn will “unleash the heat” at The Courts Sports Complex off Washington St. They take pride in working on both the physical and mental fitness of their athletes.
VC Denver Volleyball has a Broomfield location on Industrial Lane with a 2000 sq. ft. training center, full fitness facility and a weight training area.
Colorado Elite Volleyball Club is located in Louisville. This 23,000 state of the art complex also offers basketball and pickle ball six days a week.
Five Star Volleyball Club has been around since 1991. Through the years, some of its players have gone on to play beyond the youth leagues onto the national level. They’re located in Brighton on Bush St.
Prime Volleyball Academy off Washington St. in Thornton is one of the newer clubs in town, but it offers both CYL and Club level volleyball as well as fun glow games, sports clinics, and private training. Best of all, for you moms that are tired of riding the bench…they offer adult nights and open gyms where you have to be over 18 to play. So brush off those sneakers and knee pads ladies, it’s time to get back in the game!
Mention NORTH METRO WOMAN at Prime Volleyball Academy and they will offer new customers a FREE open gym to try them out!
If you want to take a deeper dive into adult volleyball leagues, others can be found at local recreation centers like the City and County of Broomfield and the City of Westminster. Write to us at editor@northmetrowoman.com if you know of some other great volleyball clubs that we should mention. We would love to hear from you!
