Local small business owners and mother-daughter duo Connie Smith and Trista Bass opened Loaded Tea Lounge earlier this spring to introduce loaded teas to the north metro area.
“Loaded energy teas are all over the southern U.S. and they’re really popular,” says Connie, “so many people are choosing sugar-free, healthy drink options, and we wanted to offer that here in our own community.”
Loaded tea is just that—loaded—with vitamins, minerals, aloe juice, and a choice of caffeine levels: barely, fairly, or fully loaded. All drinks are sweetened with Stevia.
The inviting and large drink menu at Loaded Tea Lounge makes it tough to choose just one, and the handy to-go packet option lets customers mix their own loaded teas at home. For a new and different drink option at large events and gatherings, the teas are also available by the gallon. It’s proving especially popular with local businesses for lunch, staff and board meetings.
Loaded Tea Lounge is also loaded with creativity; with song-inspired drink names like “Don’t Worry, Be Happy,” “Walking on Sunshine,” and “Rocket Man,” just deciding what to order is fun! An added bonus in the shop is a mini boutique, filled with charming gifts including jewelry, accessories and stationery, and a featured artist of the month.
“We are excited to provide space for local artists to showcase their work,” says Connie. “There are great artists locally who need more exposure, so we decided to offer a space for their work and support a featured artist each month.”
