This week’s #NMWSpotlight is on local entrepreneur Bailey Ames, the owner of Lash + Company Education. When this North Metro woman first met Bailey back in 2018, she and her husband Nick owned the Lash + Company Med Spa in Thornton and were still in the early stages of growing the education arm of the business.
Today, Bailey and Nick have turned Lash + Company into a franchise business with over 25 franchisees and are regularly adding more. Their franchise model includes three tiers, which allows new franchisees to buy in at different levels and price points.
While the franchising model has taken off for Bailey and Nick, so has the educational side of the business.
Lash + Company Education has grown considerably since those early days. They have two aesthetic schools, one in Thornton and one in Centennial. Lash + Company Education includes courses in Esthetic Training, Cosmetic Injectables, Dermaplaning, Lash Extensions, Chemical Peels, Injectables, Microneedling and more. The most recent graduation celebrated over 150 students completing a program at Lash + Company Education!
So much has changed since those early days of a single Lash + Company Med Spa! The company now employees a team of instructors and a full marketing department.
Bailey serves as the Director of Education and oversees the educational programs. She also spends much of her time helping new franchisees set up their business. From unpacking boxes to setting up their systems, Bailey is there to help make sure her franchisees are setup for success.
Bailey and Nick have grown Lash + Company and Lash + Company Education while raising their three young sons, ages 8,9 and 10. While juggling business and family can be challenging, Bailey says it’s been great showing her boys the world of entrepreneurialism. They’ve seen firsthand the hard work it takes to grow a successful business and have watched Bailey and Nick work together to solve business problems.
